The National Weather Service has issued an extreme heat warning for all of Iowa All of Iowa this Sunday and Monday.
Dangerous heat indexes will prevail. The heat index in Carroll is forecast to be at 109 degrees at noon Sunday and as high as 110 at 6 pm. Heat indexes in Carroll may be as high as 105 Monday.
Persons should be alert to signs of heat exhaustion and heat stroke not only in themselves, but in others. Unreated heat exhaustion can lead to heat stroke, which can cause death if untreated.
