Cruisin’ to the Square (formerly Hot August Night) is always the second Thursday of August, with this year’s event Thursday, Aug. 13. The rain date is Friday, Aug. 14.
Cruisin’ to the Square, hosted by Jefferson Matters and organized by Chuck Wenthold, Pete Bardole, Jill Morton, along with committee members, invites people of all ages to spend the evening admiring all types of cars, trucks, motorcycles, and antique tractors parked around the historic downtown square and on adjoining streets.
Registration is online and completely free. Participants can also register on the day of the event. Prizes will be awarded to the vehicles in various categories.
A Poker Walk event is also offered, with prizes awarded to the top Poker hands. A grilled picnic supper will be served by Jefferson Matters. Persons who want more information can call 515-386-2155 or email info@jeffersonmatters.org.
