Greene County Dems tell plans for county fair

Greene County Democrats are excited to celebrate the 250th anniversary of our United States’ Declaration of Independence and the end of the rule of kings in our country.

The Democrats will take the celebration to the Greene County Fair Friday, July 10, from 1 to 8 pm and Saturday, July 11, from 8 am to 6 pm. They’ll be located on the east end of the Clover Café.

All candidates have been invited to meet constituents at the fair. Chris Jones, candidate for Iowa Secretary of Agriculture. will be at the fair Friday at 5 pm. John Norwood, candidate for State Treasurer, plans to be at the fair Saturday at 5 pm. There will be time to meet the candidates and ask questions.

All are invited to visit the Democrats’ booth and answer questions from the U.S. Citizenship test to enter a drawing for prizes. “County fairs have long been a celebration of what is good in our country, our state, and our county,” said Greene County Democrat central committee chair Susan Smith. “This summer’s 250th celebration highlights our democracy, the best we have. Join us!”
