In Greene County district court Dawn Kay Maiers, 44, of Ames was sentenced June 22 to 25 years in prison after she changed her plea to guilty to a charge of ongoing criminal conduct. Ther prison term was suspended and she was placed on probation to the 2nd Judicial District Department of Correctional Services for three years. She must pay $4,983.95 victim restitution. Fifty-four counts of credit card fraud more than $1,500 but less than $10,000 were dismissed, as well as 16 counts of dependent adult abuse. The court found her unable to pay court costs and restitution for her court appointed attorney’s fees. (Sentencing: Honorable John R Flynn)
Robert Charles Harvilicz, 46, of Jefferson was sentenced to 25 years in prison with credit for time served after he changed his plea to guilty to a charge of drug distribution to person younger than 18. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison on a charge of possession of marijuana- second offense. The prison term was suspended. The sentenced is concurrent to the distribution sentence if it is invoked. He was fined $3,075 with a $461.25 surcharge; the fine and surcharge were suspended. One count of drug distribution to a minor was dismissed. Count costs were $1,881.38. (Sentencing: Flynn)
Jay Dolliver Orsack, 58, of Churdan was sentenced to 25 years in prison with credit for time served after he changed his plea to guilty to a charge of ongoing criminal conduct- influence enterprise. He was also sentenced to 25 years in prison on a charge of controlled substance violation, amended from possession with intent to manufacture or deliver more than 5 kg of methamphetamine. The prison sentenced are concurrent. He was fined $5,000 with a $750 surcharge. Charges of pandering for prostitution and pimping were dismissed. (Sentencing: Flynn)
Cullum Joseph Corpron, 41, of Boone was sentenced to 25 years in prison with credit for time served after he changed his plea to guilty to a charge on ongoing criminal conduct- influence enterprise. The sentence is consecutive to the sentence in a Boone County case but concurrent to the sentences in two Story County felony cases. Two counts of burglary- third degree and two counts of criminal mischief- second degree were dismissed. (Sentencing: Flynn)
