The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for all of western Iowa for Tuesday, June 9. Heat indices are predicted to be as warm as 105 degrees Tuesday evening.
Iowans are advised to take precautions for themselves and their families, pets and livestock.
There is also a slight risk of severe wind and hail Tuesday night.
