In Greene County district court Kayla Leigh Lundgren, 36, of Fairmont, MN, was sentenced May 18 to 60 days in jail with credit for time served after she changed her plea to guilty to a charge of forgery. She was also sentenced to 30 days in jail on a charge of theft- fourth degree. The jail terms are concurrent and also concurrent to a jail sentence in a Winnebago felony case. She was fined $855 with a $128.25 on the forgery charge, and $430 with a $64.50 surcharge on the theft charge. Elaine M. Norgart, 58, of Pisgah was sentenced to 60 days in jail after she changed her plea to guilty to a charge of assault while displaying a dangerous weapon. The jail term was suspended and she was placed on probation to Boone/Greene County Probation for one year. She was fined 4855 with a $128.25 surcharge; both were suspended. Jeremy Everitt Fister, 49, of Jefferson was granted a deferred judgment after he changed his plea to guilty to a charge of depended adult abuse. He must pay victim restitution to be determined and a $1,025 civil penalty. The civil penalty was suspended. Treyton Alan Swanberg, 19, of Farnhamville was granted a deferred judgment after he changed his plea to guilty to a charge of possession of a fictitious license, ID or form. Melissa Sue Dopheide, 44, of Breda was sentenced to two years in prison after she changed her plea to guilty to a charge of child endangerment. The prison sentenced was suspended and she was placed on probation to Boone/Greene County Probation for one year. If she ever serves the prison term she will receive credit for time served and the sentence will be concurrent to a sentence in another Greene County case. Jaren Nathan Ranson46, of Denison was sentenced to one year in jail with credit for time served after he changed his plea to guilty to a charge of operating while intoxicated. All but two days of the jail sentence was suspended and he was placed on probation to Boone/Greene County Probation for one year. He may complete the Des Moines Area Community College 48-hour alcohol education program at his own expense in lieu of the jail time. He must also complete any recommendations of a substance abuse evaluation, and he must complete a drinking drivers course. Ransom was fined $1,250 with a $187.50 surcharge; one-half will be waived if he obtains a temporary restricted license. Shaun Harold Warnke, 47, of Lake View was sentenced to 10 days in jail after he changed his plea to guilty to a charge of driving while license barred. Paul Anthony Duckett, 18 of Jefferson was granted a deferred judgment after he changed his plea to guilty to a charge of assault causing bodily injury or mental illness. He was placed on probation to Boone/Greene County Probation for one year, and he must pay a $430 civil penalty. Duckett was also granted a deferred judgment on a charge of harassment- second degree, amended from harassment- second degree. Persons pleaded not guilty at arraignment as follows: Brandon Lee Nevins, 45, of Lehigh, possession of marijuana; and Robert Dean Olson, 48, of Fort Dodge, burglary- second degree. Trial dates were set for July 21 in both cases.
A warrant was returned in a case initiated April 24 in which James Don Miller, 49, of Glidden is charged with ongoing criminal conduct- unlawful activity and theft- second degree.
