Following are excerpts of activities reported by the Greene County sheriff’s office:
Tuesday, May 5: At 5:22 am the sheriff and deputies investigated a burglary in progress in the 500 block of N Ave in Dawson Township. Robert Olson, 48, of Fort Dodge was arrested and charged with burglary- second degree, possession of burglary tools and trespass*. Monica Volquartsen, 48, of Fort Dodge was arrested and charged with burglary- third degree, possession of burglary tools, and trespass*.They were both booked into the county jail on the charges. At 9:57 pm Ryan Brown, 53, of Jefferson was booked into the jail on charges of driving while license barred, interference with official acts and failure to yield to emergency vehicle*.
Monday, May 4: At 1:34 am a deputy investigated a suspicious person in the 500 block of E. Main St in Grand Junction. At 7:19 am a deputy investigated a burglary in the 500 block of Sand St Churdan. At 2:02 pm the sheriff assisted with a small oil spill in the 300 block of Trinity Ave in Paton. At 3:48 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of illegal dumping on 150th Street and T Ave in Paton Township.
Sunday, May 3: At 7:40 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of harassment in Scranton.
Saturday, May 2: At 3:45 am a deputy removed a deer from the roadway on Hwy 30 near J Ave west of Jefferson. At 9:18 am a deputy investigated a complaint of criminal mischief in Churdan. At 12:06 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of trespass on 260th St near Newberry Ave in Grant Township. At 12:57 pm a deputy attempted to locate a reported vicious dog in Churdan. At 1:14 pm a deputy assisted with a horse out near 195th St and Orchard Ave in Hardin Township. At 9:19 pm a deputy investigated a theft in the 800 block of Stanton St in Scranton.
Friday, May 1: At 6:31 am Andrew Reisner, 41, of Jefferson was booked into the jail on a charge of operation without an interlock device*. At 9:31 am Mitchell Venteicher, 41, of Jefferson was booked into the jail on a charge of violation of parole*. At 10:37 pm Roberto Martinez-Cortez, 22, was booked into the jail on a charge of possession of a controlled substance*.
