The Kiwanis Club of Jefferson at its Sept. 17 meeting presented a $500 check to the Greene County Medical Center Foundation. The donation will fund enhancements to the Emergency Room for pediatric patients, helping create a more welcoming and comforting environment for children during medical emergencies.
The donation will be used to provide items such as books, teddy bears, and child-friendly décor—supplies that help ease children’s fears and provide comfort during what can be a frightening experience. By supporting the Greene County Medical Center Foundation, Kiwanis continues its mission of serving the children of the Jefferson community.
“Our hope is that these enhancements will make a difficult moment a little less scary for young patients and their families,” said a representative of the Kiwanis Club of Jefferson. “This gift is one way we can live out our commitment to helping children locally.”
