Greene County sheriff Jack Williams issued the following statement Friday morning, Sept. 12, regarding an officer-involved shooting that took place west of Grand Junction Sept. 6.
“After reading several incorrect articles about the officer-involved shooting in Greene County, I wanted to make one thing clear. That at no time did a Greene County deputy draw or fire their weapon at or during the incident. We have no deputies on administrative leave.”
