In Greene County district court a judgment was entered against Sharlene Kay Gingery, 60, of Carroll after she changed her plea to guilty July 9 to a charge of driving while license barred. She was sentenced to seven days in jail with credit for time served. She may serve the jail time in Carroll County. She was fined $1,000 with a $150 surcharge; the fine and surcharge were suspended. Andrea P Martin, 51, of Kaneohe, HI, was granted a deferred judgment after she pleaded guilty to a charge of assault causing bodily injury, amended from domestic abuse assault causing injury or mental illness. She was placed on probation to Boone/Greene County Probation for one year. She must follow any recommendations of a mental health evaluation. A judgment was entered for a $430 civil penalty. She must pay restitution for her court appointed attorney’s fees not to exceed $500. Court costs were $140. (Sentencing: McCarville)
Persons pleaded not guilty at arraignment as follows: Robert Alan Fry, 62, of Jefferson, driving while license revoked; Taylor Christine Shaw, 33, of Dubuque, possession of marijuana- second offense and driving while license revoked; and Robert Charles Harvilicz, 45, of Jefferson, drug distribution to person younger than 18- two counts, controlled substance violation and possession of marijuana- second offense. Trial dates were set for Sept. 30 for Fry and Shaw, and for Aug. 26 for Harvilicz.
