Landus scholarship to Kayla Frederick

Landus is investing in the future of agriculture by supporting the education of five high school seniors pursuing degrees in either agriculture or life sciences this fall. The Excellence in Agriculture Scholarship awards $2,000 to students in recognition of their academic excellence, leadership, and commitment to rural communities.

“These students have demonstrated a deep understanding of agriculture’s crucial impact on our world and are dedicated to advancing the industry in their respective disciplines,” says Sarah Heineman, executive director of foundations at Landus. “We’re proud to support them as they begin their academic journey and look forward to seeing their impact on our industry in the years to come.”

Greene County graduate Kayla Frederick is an Excellence in Agriculture scholarship winner. She plans to study agricultural communications at Iowa State University.

To be eligible for the Excellence in Ag scholarship, recipients must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher, plan to pursue a degree in either agriculture or life sciences, and the applicant or their guardian must be a voting member of the cooperative in good standing. These awards are part of Landus’s ongoing commitment to championing rural communities. The scholarship program is just one of many ways Landus partners with communities to ensure the future of agriculture remains strong and sustainable.
