Why can’t we – or the four retired presidents…. Or someone, anyone, a police chief, a secretary, a four-star general, a garbage collector, a Supreme justice? – arrest the muskrat and his golfing friend?
I’ve been confused about the rule of law since the attack on the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. How many insurrectionists were arrested onsite? How many later? How many now pardoned from being traitors, killers, defacers, “citizens having a nice day in DC,” as the ex-President of that moment keeps calling them (is there nothing he can’t lie about)? How many Capitol rioters were sued for clean-up and repair of artifacts, walls, portraits, windows and doors of a huge and revered edifice? Are we citizens paying for this? Has there been any press about that problem? Please inform me.
It’s a long four years later, and my confusion has increased – how does a world-infamous Me-First person who is condemned by a jury as a 34-count felon get to roam across the planet and continue to get away with lying at every inhale of breath? Why did he not get thrown in jail overnight for refusing to obey gag orders during his trial last summer? Several times he could have been wearing the orange and texting behind bars for ignoring the judge; instead, he was allowed to roam freely and spout off to the Press how “unfair” (a favorite word of his) the judge was.
Why does the media write down what he says and publish it as news? Why can’t they just headline his stories with:
“President tells these lies today outside White House.”
“Illegal! President sells Muskrat auto on White House lawn!”
“Liar-in-Chief says he inherited a crashing economy! In fact, he inherited from Biden the best economy in the world.”
Fox News sends out the lies, and America First folks believe them. The Mainstream Press sends out the lies, explains that they are lies if they’re on top of things, and the Left believes both. Even when egg prices go up again despite his campaign promises, the Right believes him and the Left wonders. Did Biden really murder all the chickens?*
The entire country winds up as two Americas: one side believing proven facts; one side believing proven lies.
It is a dilemma. But it will be short-lived if soon, the Twin Presidents will hide themselves in a rocket to Mars in order to escape with their billions, and the rocket will, like its predecessors, fall apart at take-off.
Currently, the Left is on the march in every city and many a small town in America every weekend whatever the weather in the northern tier . . . . hundreds of thousands protesting the firing of hundreds of thousands who deliver your daily mail, get your Amtrak in on time, pay your stipend from the VA each month, your Medicaid and Medicare help when you need it, reimburse farmers who have supplied food via USAID to people in need across the globe since President John F. Kennedy got it passed on Nov. 3, 1961. I was a junior in high school; I am now an elder living on Social Security, which was signed into law by President Franklin D. Roosevelt on Aug. 14, 1935, several years before I was born.
That the current President is trying to get rid of so many vital things designed FOR the people in order to give himself and his pals our money — one of the reasons for colonists organizing this country, divorcing themselves from the English King who wouldn’t give a pig’s tail for his colonists in the New World but used them to tax in order to pay himself. Sound familiar? We now have a wanna-be king who is doing the same, willing to steal from his own peeps to pay more money to himself and his already obscenely wealthy pretend-friends.
Who can possibly need that much money?!!!
If only we’d elected someone who could read history, understand it, be proud of the good parts and eager to heal the bad parts of a good solution to bad government across the globe for the first time in the entirety of human history. “My Fair Lady,” an operetta obviously written by a male, had it all wrong. The best line should have been, “ Why can’t a man be more like a woman?”
Especially this wanna-be man who could have been a true hero to all had he only learned compassion for fellow humans and believed the only survivable way of governing is democracy — not demonocracy.*
