Greene County has an enhanced risk of severe weather Friday, March 14. According to the National Weather Service, the primary concern will be damaging winds, with lesser potential for tornadoes and large hail.
Storm timing is mainly between 4 and 10 pm. Storms will move quicky, perhaps 50-60mph.
Strong winds are predicted even outside of thunderstorms Friday afternoon and evening.
Significant wind gusts of 74 mph or more are possible across all of central Iowa.
