The Greene County Rams girls’ and boys’ bowling teams had a busy week this past week.
Spare Times Lanes and Lounge in Jefferson was the site the Rams hosted Waukee Jan. 13. The results were a 2,457-1,726 loss for the Rams girls and a 2,999-2,657 loss for the Rams boys as Waukee completed the sweep.
During the meet, Chase Fecher had the high game for the Rams boys with a 219, Jacob Rumley had a 191, Lane Fields had a 190, Teagan Chisholm had a 176, Damein Hull had a 175 and Trystan Cummings had a 157. Fecher also led with 421 total pins, Rumley had 362 pins, Lane Fields had 344 pins, Chisholm had 341 pins, Hull had 312 pins, and Cummings had 311 pins.
For the girls. Allison Fields had the high game with 171, Shelby Finley had 166, Trinity Hull had 128, Rozella Helms had 117, Hayleigh Rivera had 113, and Elizabeth Long had 109. The total pins leader for the Rams was Fields with 281, Finley with 261, Hull with 236, Helms with 210, Rivera with 201, and Long with 190.
The next meet had the Rams facing Ankeny Jan. 16, when the boys picked up a 2,775-2,341 win. Fecher had the high game of 231; Cummings had a 215; Hull had a 214; Chisholm had a 191; Rumley had a 174; and Lane Fields had a 166. Cummings had the most pins with 417, Fecher had 402, Hull had 388, Chisholm had 354, Rumley had 338, and Lane Fields had 330.
The girls fell to Ankeny, 2,024-1,797, with Trinity Hull having the high game of 164, Allison Fields having 162, Helms with 133, Rivera with 105, Alivia Cornell with 89, and Long with 83. The total pins leader was Trinity Hull with 322, Allison Fields with 290, Helms with 234, Rivera with 202, Cornell with 172, and Long with 146.
In their last meet of the week, the Rams faced off against the Ballard Bombers Jan. 17. The boys earned a 2,629-2,494 win for their second win of the week. Fecher had the high game with 206, Chisholm had 186, Cummings had 182, Damein Hull had 179, Rumley had 160, and Ryan Bills had 158. Fecher took the highest total pins with 386, Cummings had 350, Chisholm had 339, Damein Hull had 327, Rumley had 299, and Bills had 253.
In their meet against the Bombers, the Rams girls fell 1,828-1,701, with Allison Fields taking the high game at 160, Helms had 136, Trinity Hull had 131, Rivera had 121, Long had 113, and Finley had 107. Allison Fields took the most pins with 278, Trinity Hull had 251, Helms had 215, Rivera had 211, Long had 200, and Finley had 198.
This week, the Rams have more action on the calendar as the boys’ and girls’ teams were expected to take on Fort Dodge on Monday. The girls’ team will also retake the lanes this week as they are expected to face Kuemper Catholic on Thursday.
