Greene County district court, week ending Oct. 25

In Greene County district court Steven Bret Wetzel, 55, of Jefferson was granted a deferred judgment after he changed his plea to guilty to a charge of fraudulent practice- third degree. He was placed on probation to Boone/Greene County Probation for one year. He must pay a civil penalty of $855 and restitution for his court appointed attorney not to exceed $500. Persons pleaded not guilty to charges as follows: Bobby Younty Lamar Mosley, 44, of Fort Dodge, possession of methamphetamine; and Carter Eugene Fetters, 73, of Jefferson, possession of marijuana- third or subsequent offense, possession of controlled substance- third or subsequent offense; unlawful manufacture, deliver or possess with intent to deliver marijuana not more than 50 kg. Trial dates were set for Jan. 28, 2025, in both cases.

Cases were initiated in district court as follows: Joshuah Jay Blumberg, 28, of Grand Junction, intimidation with dangerous weapon; and Jerry Francis Fortmann, 58, of Lanesboro, operating while intoxicated- second offense.
