The Friends of the Jefferson Public Library will present their annual Friend of the Year award to Nancy Rogers at a reception Thursday, Oct. 17, at 5 pm at the Jefferson Community Golf Course.
Most years since 1997, the Friends of the Library have honored an outstanding library volunteer.
Rogers has given her best in volunteerism to the library, providing her baked delicacies for many library programs. She has also volunteered the use of her country home for library events like the concluding program of the adult winter reading program.
The reception for Rogers will be followed by the Friends of the Library’s annual meeting at 6 pm. Friends board president Jennifer Powers, Friends treasurer Cathy Marshall, and committee chairs will report on activities over the past year. All Friends of the Library are welcome.
Friends members can renew their memberships at the meeting. New Friends are always welcome, with several membership levels available.
