In Greene County district court Jesse James Sanders, 22, of Scranton was sentenced Sept. 12 to 28 days in jail after he pleaded guilty to a charge of assault while display dangerous weapon. The jail term is consecutive to terms in two other Greene County cases. Sanders was fined $855 with a $128.25 surcharge. He must pay victim restitution to be determined by the county attorney. Persons pleaded not guilty to charges as follows: James Pena, 26, of Denison, possession of marijuana; Teresa Marie Rivera, 34, of Jefferson, attempted burglary- second degree, violation of probation; and Mark Moore, 60, of Dayton, operating while intoxicated. A trial date was set for Nov. 5 for Rivera, and for Dec. 10 for Pena and Moore.
Cases were initiated in district court as follows: Larry Donald Voss II, 50, of Fontanelle, domestic abuse assault- injury or mental illness; Shelby Marie McBride, 29, of Moville, theft- fourth degree; Carter Eugene Fetters, 73, of Jefferson, possession of marijuana- third or subsequent offense, possession of controlled substance- third or subsequent offense, and deliver or possess with intent to deliver not more than 50kg of marijuana; and Christopher James Lehrkamp, 38, of Scranton, driving while license barred, and leave scene of accident- injury.
