Thomas Jefferson Gardens board turning over reins on farmers market

The board of Thomas Jefferson Gardens of Greene County met Aug. 6 and have decided that after this year the Thomas Jefferson Gardens will no longer host the Greene County Farmers Market.

“We have enjoyed hosting the farmers market the last three years,” board president Danielle Ross said.  “We believe it is a great asset to the community and hope to see it continue on with another group passionate about access to freshly grown food.”

If any organization or individual is interested in running the Greene County Farmers Market next year they can contact Ross at 515-370-4028.

“Please continue to come and support our local vendors, youth entrepreneurs, free entertainment, and nonprofit organizations serving food the rest of this year,” Ross said.
