Sheriff’s report – July 2024

Following are excerpts of daily activities reported by the Greene County sheriff’s office:

Wednesday, July 31: At 12:01 am Christopher Brotherson, 55, of Breda was booked into the jail on a charge of criminal mischief- second degree*.  At 1:01 am Amy Fell, 40, of Van Meter was booked into the jail on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia*. At 3:53 am a deputy assisted the Guthrie County sheriff’s office with a 911 hang-up in the 1000 block of Rose Ave, Guthrie County. At 3:48 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of animal neglect in the 800 block of Percival St in Grand Junction. At 3:55 pm John Knight, 44, of Atlantic was booked into the jail on a charge of operating a motor vehicle without a interlock device*. At 5:58 pm a deputy investigated a driving complaint on Hwy 30 near A Ave.

Tuesday, July 30: At 10:28 am the sheriff investigated an abandoned vehicle on Hwy 4 near 210th St north of Jefferson. At 4:34 pm a deputy investigated a scam in the 1800 block of 270th St in Jackson Township. At 5:31 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of theft in the 700 block of L Ave in Bristol Township.

Monday, July 29: At 5:55 am a deputy assisted with getting two cows back in the fence near 340th St and Hwy 4. At 10:53 am a deputy assisted with traffic control for a combine broken down on Hwy 30 near K Ave west of Jefferson.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
