A trio of young women are vying for the title of Greene County Fair Queen and the opportunity to compete in the Iowa State Fair Queen contest.
The local contest will be held Wednesday, July 10, at 7 pm in Clover Hall on the fairgrounds. Contestants are (pictured below, from left) Grace Hardaway, Calleigh Fitzpatrick and Addison Gannon.
A Little Miss and Mister contest will open the fair queen contest. Children must be ages 5-7 as of July 8, 2024. Children can sign up from 5 to 6:30 pm.
During the ‘”contest” each child will be asked a fun question. The winners will be selected by random drawing. All participants will receive a prize, and the winners will be given a sash and crown to wear during the fair.
There is a $10 entry fee for the Little Miss and Mister contest.
