The Greene County Historical Society is hosting the second annual Barbie open house Saturday, June 15, at the museum (291 E. Lincoln Way, Jefferson) from 9 am to noon.
This year the Historical Society will have more of its vintage Barbie dolls on display, and will offer more Barbie activities. There will be a Barbie scavenger hunt in the museum, coloring sheets and word searches, a silent auction of two pink label collectible Barbies (donated by Janet Meiners), some Barbie merchandise for sale, and another game or two.
Janice Harbaugh will play the piano, and Raspberry Ridge Publishing historical Greene County postcards will be available for purchase.
As with all open houses at the museum, there will be refreshments and drawings for gift cards. “So stop in, have a cookie or some juice, and join in the Barbie fun this June at the museum,” a spokesperson said. “And if you haven’t been to the big Barbie by the Bells display at Sensibly Chic, a fundraiser for the Museum, make time to visit it, as well. It’s truly special.”
