Many Greene County seniors received awards from Iowa Central Community College at the Greene County High School awards program May 15. The awards were presented by Teresa Green, coordinator at the Iowa Central Career Academy at the high school.
Joel McAndrews was awarded an associate of arts degree and an associate of science degree. Hallie Monthei was awarded an associate of arts degree. Both students earned their two-year degrees while completing their high school studies.
Receiving certificates in welding were Ethan Coil, Landon Carstens and Colton Mobley.
Skylar Warnke was named Career Technical Education (CTE) student of the year.
Students were recognizing for completing CTE programs as follows:
Culinary – Kathuran Reynoza, Aryanna Rank, Cassie Knight and Shailynne Woodley
Early Childhood Education – Skylar Warnke, Georgia Osterson and Savanna Shell
Agriculture – Trey Schilling
Agriculture & Industrial Technology – Gabe Ebersole and Jackson Turner
Business & Computer Science – Alexander Blasnitz
Industrial Technology – Eli Mohr and Paul Blake
