Greene County district court, week ending Nov. 17

In Greene County district court Kaleb Lee Lentz, 29, of Scranton was sentenced Nov. 15 to two years in prison on a charge of assault with intent to commit sex abuse. He was sentenced to two years in prison on a charge of invasion of privacy, and one year in prison on a charge of lascivious acts with a minor. The terms are consecutive, for a total of five years in prison. After he is released he will be on parole for 10 years. He was fined $855 with a $128.50 surcharge on each of the first two counts; the fines and surcharges were suspended. He was fined $430 with a $64.50 surcharge on the third count; the fine and surcharge were not suspended. Lentz must also pay a $90 domestic abuse surcharge on each of the three charges. He must also pay a $250 civil penalty and $260 court costs. (Sentencing: Honorable Joseph B. McCarville)

Katelin Rae Lowmiller, 31, of Jefferson was sentenced Nov. 16 to one year in jail after she changed her plea to guilty to a charge of theft- fourth degree. The jail term was suspended and she was placed on probation to Bonne/Greene County Probation for two years. She must undergo a substance abuse evaluation and complete any recommended treatment at her own expense. She was fined $430 with a $64.50 surcharge. The court ruled she is unable to pay restitution for her court appointed attorney’s fees or court costs. She must pay $529.41 restitution to HyVee. (Sentencing: McCarville)

Dawn Maria Miller, 52, of Lanesboro was sentenced Nov. 15 to two years in prison on a charge of burglary- third degree motor vehicle, amended from burglary- third degree motor vehicle, second or subsequent offense. She was also sentenced to one year in jail on a charge of theft- fourth degree. The incarcerations were suspended and she was placed on probation to the Iowa Department of Corrections for two years. The sentences will be consecutive if Miller serves them. She was fined $855 with a $128.25 surcharge on the burglary charge; both were suspended. She was fined $430 with a $64.50 surcharge on the theft charge. Those were not suspended. The court found her unable to pay restitution for her court appointed attorney’s fees and court costs. Persons pleaded not guilty at arraignments as follows: Jay D. Wenger, 35, of Beaver, operating while under the influence of a controlled substance and child endangerment; Paul Daniel Morgan, 42, of Ogden, operating while intoxicated and possess or carry dangerous weapon while under influence; Amber Rose Davis, 36, of Jefferson, possession of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana; Kelly Duane Beaman, 50, of Grand Junction, possession of methamphetamine; Jordan Lee Khommanyvong, 21, of Rockwell City, operating while intoxicated; and Joshua James Parrish, 27, of Jefferson, criminal mischief- third degree, domestic abuse assault- injury or mental illness, and assault causing bodily injury or mental illness. Trial dates were set for Jan. 30, 2023, in every case.

Information is available since the return of arrest warrants that Adam John Taylor Hopkins, 38, of Jefferson is charged with possession of marijuana- second offense and possession of drug paraphernalia. The warrants were issued Jan. 26 and served Nov. 6.

Cases were initiated during the week ending Nov. 17 against Reyna Y Quintanilla, 51, of Perry, on a charge of OWI- second offense; and against Robert Donald Pool, 29, of Glidden, on a charge of eluding- speed more than 25 mph over the limit.
