Ram girls basketball looking for improvement

The Greene County girls basketball team is looking forward to a fresh start this season, with coach Tori Ogden excited to see what the season will bring.

This will be Ogden’s eighth year coaching, her third year at Greene County and as a varsity head coach. To the court, eight of 10 possible returners will be back, but with only one returning starter.

Ogden says she hopes to see the team “turn that corner and start competing with teams,” explaining that Greene County hasn’t had a successful basketball program for many years as far as wins go. “We are working on learning what success is and how to get there.”

“I am looking forward to how far this team can go and how we can continue to build this program,” added Ogden. The team looks to add 11 new players to this year’s roster, giving Greene County a chance for a new name on the basketball court.

The girls will see their first opponent on Nov. 21 at Woodward-Granger High School. After that, the team will travel to Ogden on Nov. 27 and will host Panorama at home on Nov. 28 with a game that Friday, Dec. 1, at PCM High School.
