Paton-Churdan middle school student rode the High Trestle Trail on Friday, Oct. 20. All 40 students rode the 12-mile trip from Woodward to Slater and a majority gutted out the trip back to Madrid to end the day with almost 20 miles.
It was a beautiful day on the trail. Students enjoyed social time with friends, practicing bike etiquette and completing a huge challenge proving to themselves their ability in perseverance.
“This is a great experience for our middle school students. However, it would not be possible without the help from adult volunteers including Donny Hobbs, Jon Duckett, Pat Cunnigham, Ann Cunningham, Craig Hart and David Miller. A very special thank you to all volunteers for supporting the bike trip by taking the time out of your day and providing the means to haul 40+ bikes to Woodward and back,” P-C guidance counselor Libby Towers said.
