Rippey Community Easter Egg Hunt – Friends of Rippey are hosting the Easter Bunny at the library on Saturday at 10 am. He will have placed eggs throughout the library lawn, but in case of rain, the hunt will be in the library and community room.

A time for lunch with the Bunny will follow the hunt, but planned for 11 am. At 12, the raffle drawing for the $200 meat bundle will be completed.

Lions Club – Bad weather cancelled last week’s meeting, so the next Rippey Lions Club meeting will be Thursday, April 13, at 6:30 pm. Soup will be provided as the main course for the potluck meal.

Jean’s Jottings – I had a nice diversion on Saturday evening! Grandson Kale Borgeson and I joined Michael and Jill Borgeson at the Perry Performing Arts Center for the performance of Matilda the Musical presented by the Perry High School music and drama department.  It was fast paced and it was clear the performers had worked long and hard to learn their lines, as well as the music and dances.  Michael and Jill’s son Seth played several different characters in the musical.
