Abby and Alex McConnell of Jefferson announced this week that they have purchased the building that most recently housed the Stitch, located at 217 E. Lincoln Way, between Thomas Jefferson Gardens and the Greene County Historical Musuem.

The couple plans to open Legacy Events, with event and party rentals and supplies, as well as event management. The business will open in the spring of 2023.

Legacy Events will rent items like tents, tables, chairs, linens, decor, custom items and more. Delivery, set-up and tear-down will be available. Additionally, the store will offer party and event supplies including themed plates/cups/napkins, table coverings, utensils, themed decor, balloons, gift wrap/bags/boxes, and other items.

Event consulting/management services will also be available, helping customers create and implement events without stress.

A website will launch prior to the doors opening to allow customers to book rental items in advance for graduations and 2023 weddings.
