ServSafe® course in Jefferson July 25

Iowa State University Extension and Outreach in Greene County will host a ServSafe® food safety management certification class in Jefferson on Monday, July 25. Mary Krisco, food and health specialist, will teach the class.  Krisco has been a ServSafe® instructor since 2013 and has trained more than 1,000 food service professionals in ServSafe®.

This eight-hour class will prepare individuals to become a certified food protection manager (CFPM), a licensing requirement for all food establishments in Iowa. The ServSafe® program blends information from the latest FDA Food Code, food safety research, and years of food sanitation training experience. It is administered through the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation.

The class will be held in the Greene County Extension office, 104 W Washington St, Jefferson, IA 50129. Registration is online at https://bit.ly/3LlePYF.  The registration deadline is July 4, 2022.
