Community Foundation grant cycle open

Up to $150,000 will be awarded in grants of $35,000 or less

The Greene County Community Foundation is now accepting applications for grants. Grow Greene County Gaming Corporation, the organization which holds the gaming license for the Wild Rose Casino Jefferson, has agreed to fund the Greene County Community Foundation with $150,000 for the 2022 grant cycle. 

Over the past 16 years, the Community Foundation has funded over $1.7 million to various Greene County non-profit organizations. The Greene County Community Foundation has funded projects in every county community that include all Greene County libraries, gear for all Greene County fire departments, Habitat for Humanity, Greene County and Paton-Churdan Early Learning Centers, the Historical Society, the Greene County Conservation, Friends of Rippey and many school projects for both Greene County school districts.

Non-profit organizations in the county are encouraged to apply for funding projects that their organizations are undertaking this year. The grant applications can be completed online at www.forgreenecounty.org. For those who wish to complete a paper application, it can be downloaded, printed, and completed handwritten, and then be dropped off at Journey Financial located in the Home State Bank building in Jefferson. Grow Greene County has also opened their grant cycle. Both organizations work together to fund projects that benefit the people of our county. Grants requests greater than $35,000 should apply with Grow Greene County Gaming Corporation. Grants less than $35,000 should apply with the Greene County Community Foundation. All grant applications must be turned by Thursday, Feb. 10, at 4 pm.
