To the editor,
Why do I support the casino continuing? I racked my brain to think of something original to write or a point to be made that hasn’t already been expressed. This is the best I could come up with. Can you imagine another business that would contribute $9 million to the community along with $5 million in property taxes?
Some might say, “Sure, but the casino makes that money off the people that gamble there.” True, but you know what? You don’t have to gamble there! The casino has helped fund my school and community since 2015, and I have spent maybe $200 in that time.
I may not have won any big prizes at the actual casino, but certainly Greene County has hit the jackpot.
