Greene County magistrate court, week ending Oct. 1

In Greene County magistrate court judgments were entered Sept. 29 against Timothy Patrick Day of Jefferson on charges of public intoxication and disorderly conduct. He was fined $105 with a $15.75 surcharge on each count. A charge of assault was dismissed. Court costs were $60.

Judgments were entered in two separate cases against Mark David Burgart of Churdan. In the first, he was charged with obstruction of emergency communication. He was fined $105 with a $15.75 surcharge; the fine was suspended. Court costs were $60. In the second case, Burgart was charged with violation of a no contact order. He was sentenced to seven days in jail, with credit for time served. He was fined $105 with a $15.75 surcharge. Court costs were $60.

Information is available since the return of an arrest warrant that Desmond James Collins of Fort Dodge was charged with violation of a no contact order. The warrant was issued May 27 and returned 9/15.

Cases were initiated in magistrate court as follows: Luther James Thomas Hebert of Green Bay, WI, theft- fifth degree; Scot Michael Picknell of Churdan, possession of drug paraphernalia; Hunter Michael Davis of Cooper, possession of drug paraphernalia; and Elilsha Zechariah Hiram Ward of Jefferson, possession of drug paraphernalia.
