Churdan resident L. Towers will vote YES on gaming referendum

Dear Greene County Residents,

In the summer of 2013 with a vote to approve gambling, we created an amazing opportunity for our county. Two years later, Wild Rose opened their doors, creating an event center, hotel and place of entertainment.

However, more importantly to me was the increased opportunity for funds to improve our schools, cities, libraries, fire and safety departments and parks.

All communities including Churdan have seen improvements that would not be possible if it were not for the opportunities afforded by Wild Rose and Grow Greene County.

On November 2, Iowa law says we must re-authorize our gaming referendum that allows gambling in Greene County. A yes vote seems like a “no brainer.” One would think it should pass with an even higher approval than we gave it in August of 2013! However, crazier things have happened and your yes vote will solidify the opportunity to continue to reap the benefits of Wild Rose Casino and Grow Greene County’s partnership. I encourage all Greene County residents to go to the polls on November 2 (or take advantage of absentee or earlier voting) and vote yes!

Libby Towers, Churdan
