October 1, 2021 is the start of another StoryWalk® around the Jefferson downtown square.
Families doing this self-guided tour will begin at Funky Zebra, 205 N. Wilson, and work their way around the square clockwise, to read the book “The Apple Pie Tree.” The walk will end at the Greene County Extension Office at 104 W. Washington St. Extension staff will have fresh Deal’s Orchard apples for those who complete the walk during business hours, week days from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm.
Some businesses will have an activity or prize for participants. Look for the additional sign.
This is a self-guided tour through the month of October. This free family activity is sponsored by the Jefferson Rotary Club, Deal’s Orchard & ISU Greene County Extension & Outreach.
“We are pleased to bring back this fun free activity that promotes physical activity, literacy and encouraging participants to support businesses and our downtown square,” stated Lori Mannel, Greene County ISU Extension & Outreach director.
