Greene County 7-day positivity rate for Covid-19 testing at 11.5 percent
Effective September 3, the coronavirus.iowa.gov website will provide a user-friendly dashboard with quick data points, and sharing data more frequently via social media on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. New information will include a monoclonal antibodies treatment finder to encourage Iowans to seek treatment for COVID-19 in their local communities.
With the Labor Day holiday weekend rapidly approaching, Greene County public health encourages everyone to please play it safe to avoid an increased spread of COVID-19. Limit traveling and crowds, wear a mask indoors, use hand sanitizer frequently, and stay home if you have symptoms of COVID-19 or you’ve been exposed to someone who has it. And lastly, please consider getting the vaccine as soon as you are ready.
As of September 1, 2021, Greene County continues to see an increased number of cases each day. The total number of Covid-19 cases in the county is 987, with 33 of those being diagnosed in the past seven days. The 7-day positivity rate is 11.5 percent. The level of community transmission is HIGH.
Covid-19 activity among youngsters age 17 and younger has increased. Current percentages are age 0-17, 18 percent; 18-29, 23 percent; 30-39, 14 percent; 40-49, 23 percent; 50-59, 14 percent; and age 60 and older, 9 percent.
