The Friends of the Jefferson Public Library annual fall book sale begins Sept. 17, on a Friday afternoon for the first time. The sale, held in the library basement, will be open on Friday from 1 to 6 pm for Friends members only.
Anyone can be a Friend of the Library. Memberships are available at the circulation desk in the adult department. Membership is $5 (or more) annually. Memberships will also be available Sept. 17.
Beginning the next day, Saturday, Sept. 18, the sale is open to the public Monday and Wednesday from 1 to 7 pm, and Tuesday and Thursday from 11 am to 7 pm. The sale will remain open to the public until the sale ends on Sept. 25.
“Sign up to be a member of the Friends of the Library anytime during the sale. Both our book sale and our membership drive help raise funds that benefit all our library patrons,” a Friends of the Library spokesperson said.
