New event blends Chamber annual meeting and Jefferson Matters Volunteer Appreciation night

Community Appreciation Night will be held Wednesday, June 16, at 7 pm at the Greene County High School auditorium.

The focus of the program is to showcase volunteerism, share information about the Jefferson Matters: Main Street and Chamber teams and their achievements, and present the 2020 Above & Beyond the Call (ABC) Award.

With the merge of the Jefferson Area Chamber of Commerce and Jefferson Matters: Main St, the program is a combination of the former Chamber’s annual meeting and Jefferson Matters: Main Street’s Volunteer Appreciation Night.

Presenters will be president Jamie Daubendiek, vice president Ian Wilkinson, director Reegan Hanigan, and chairpersons of each of the teams. The ABC Award will be presented by Gary and Shirley Haupert, recipients of the 2019 ABC Award.

The event is free and open to the public. Attendees are asked to park in the south parking lot and enter the building through the south entrance.
