Ages 4-17 years are invited with a parent or guardian to take part. It’s free fishing weekend thanks to the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, so no fishing licenses will be required.

Registration forms  are available at the Scranton public library or  through Leesa Squibb (515-370-1339)  and  Ashley Squibb (515-370-3505).

“Because of some very generous people and businesses in the neighborhood, this  year’s event is going to be one of the very best that has been offered,” said Leesa. “Please don’t miss out. It is free fishing weekend so parents can join in  and  enjoy the family atmosphere and togetherness this event brings.”

Lunch will be served with several guest speakers sharing their expertise. Social distancing and masks are required unless the governor changes the regulations before the event. Some very nice door prizes will be handed out that day.

“With The ‘Catch Me if You Can’ theme, hopefully youngsters will catch some fish and everyone will enjoy the day,” concluded Leesa Squibb. ~courtesy of The Scranton Journal
