Libraries across the country will mark National Library Week April 5-10. Staff at the Churdan public library is planning activities as follows:
- Monday, April 5, at 1:15 pm – Book-to-movie: “Britt-Marie was here”. A discussion of this book was held March 2021
- Tuesday, April 6, at 7 pm – Recycling 101 with Troy Reynolds, Boone County Recycling Services. The program will also be presented via Zoom, Meeting ID: 517 169 2842. Call the library at 515-389-3423 for the meeting password.
- Wednesday, April 7, at 10:30 am – National Walking Day. The group will pick the route at that time. Everyone attending will be registered for door prizes. Persons who can’t walk with at that time can send a picture of themself and/or their group walking at another time during the week to have their name placed in the drawing.
- Thursday, April 8, come-and-go from 3 to 7 pm – Intro to the community history archives of Greene County, IA. Attendees should bring theirown device. This will allow attendees to save the information to their own devices.
- Friday, April 9, at 1:15 pm – Book-to-Movie: Where the Heart Is. The original book discussion for this book was February 2020. The book discussion group had planned to watch the movie in March of 2020
Mask wearing and social distancing will be required at all events.
