Family, friends, and significant others of military service members and veterans can participate in a free six-week session offered by the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI).
The series will help family and close friends understand what a service member or veteran may be experiencing related to trauma, combat stress, transitioning to civilian life, PTSD and other mental health conditions, while maintaining their own well-being. The series is not targeted to service members or veterans, but to those who love and/or live with them.
Sessions well be Wednesdays, April 14-19, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm; or Tuesdays, April 13-May 18, from 9 to 11 am.
Persons who want more information or to register for the virtual program can contact Greene County veterans affairs officer Mike Bierl at 515-386-5673.
