County youth exhibit 4-H, FFA projects at Covid-altered county fair

In the topsy-turvy world of the Covid-19 pandemic, Greene County 4-H members still completed exhibits that demonstrated knowledge or skills gained in various project areas and submitted them for judging during the Greene County Fair. The fair was held July 7-13 without grandstand events, beef burgers, and grandparents attending hours-long livestock shows. The fair did, though, showcase the best efforts of 4-H and FFA members.

Judging of static exhibits was done July 6-7 by several judges in the areas of animals; agriculture and natural resources; creative arts; science, engineering and technology; family and consumer sciences; and personal development. Exhibits were judged without conferencing between the judge and exhibitors.

The static exhibit judging was coordinated by static superintendents Michele Hardin, Linda Hedges, Shari Minnehan and Stacy Hardaway.
