The Rams ended a six-game losing streak Wednesday night in Story City, splitting a doubleheader with the Norsemen of Story City.
They broke the skid with an 11-3 win in the second game of the night, with senior Austin Delp pitching five innings and giving up two runs (one earned) to get the win. Nick Breon got two triples and Bryce Stadler had a two-run double to get the Rams’ offense going.
In the first game of the night, the Rams fell short, 6-5, falling just short of a comeback with a three-run seventh inning. The Rams were done in by the first five innings in which the Rams gave up six runs to the Norsemen. David Richter took the pitching loss for Greene County.
Now 3-6, the Rams play Carroll Thursday night on the road.
