The Greene County boys golf team finished third at the Southeast Valley (Gowrie) Invitational at the Dayton Golf and Country Club on Friday. Ogden shot 179 for nine holes to win the event, followed by the host Jaguars at 211, Greene County 221, Manson-Northwest Webster 223, and 270 for Glidden-Ralston.
Preston Gronseth of Ogden was meet medalist with 42.
The Rams were led by Jadon Block’s 46, which was good for fourth place. Sawyer Schiltz shot 50, Cody Gilbertson 62, and Caden Telleen 63.
Coach Heath Telleen said the tough Dayton course was a challenge for his golfers. He added the goal for the Rams is to continue to show improvement. ~courtesy of The Scranton Journal
