Your April 16 opinion “Let’s just watch a ballgame…” really hit a HOMER for me here in Alliance, NE.
Spring is trying to break through from winter and I’m hopeful for the baseball season. I sure could use a hot dog with mustard, a seat in the bleachers for cheering, and all the other fun summer brings in the Midwest.
Thanks for reminding me to keep a sense of humor, especially about the news. To me, the importance of compromise is that it leads to some degree of balance. The beauty in our democracy is simply the right to have a say…we have a voice, an opinion about the way we want our country to be. Now that I’ve had my say, I’m off to the ballgame.
