A pair of low-cost clinics for dogs and cats are slated for Scranton later this month.
Animal Protection and Education (A.P.E) Charity of Paton will hold a low-cost spay/neuter clinic for cats Friday, Oct. 26. Included in services that day is a well pet exam, spay/neuter, Revolution (treats ear mites, fleas, roundworms and hookworms), distemper and rabies vaccinations, and a microchip ID.
Cost is $80 for spay (female) and $65 for neuter (male). There is a discounted cost for cat owners who have had three or more cats altered and for persons who are brining in an un-owned (feral) cat.
A.P.E. will return to Scranton Saturday, Oct. 27, from 9 am to 5 pm for a reduced-cost vaccine clinic for dogs and cats. The cost for Greene County residents is $30 each for cats or dogs. Residents of other counties are welcome but the cost for them will be $35 per cat and $45 per dog. The cost includes a well pet exam, distemper and rabies vaccinations, and a microchip ID if the animal doesn’t already have one.
