…are made in the spring
Central Christian Church invites all area residents to a six week session of the Insanity total body conditioning program. Laura Nelson will lead participants through high intensity anaerobic interval training designed with athletic drills and modifications to accommodate various fitness levels. The Insanity program delivers big results for those who put in some effort.
Classes start April 8 and will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:30 pm at the church at 108 N. Elm in Jefferson. There is no cost, but participants are asked for a free will offering that will go to the Action Resource Center food pantry, the community garden, and Habitat for Humanity.
Call the church at 515-386-4315 for more information. Pastor Deb Griffin calls the challenging workouts “a new ministry.” “The idea is that ‘Our bodies are Temples of the Holy Spirit’ so we ought to take care of them,” she said.
(Isn’t this the same pastor who in February used a promise of donut holes to coax church members to donate glue sticks?)
