The Greene County Rams placed 12th in the preliminaries of the Class 3A boys 4 X 100 m relay at the co-ed state track and field meet at Drake Stadium in Des Moines Friday.
The team, composed of senior Logan Lansman, senior Chase Stoline, freshman Colby Kafer and senior Nick Schroeder, ran the relay in 44.63 seconds. The fastest time in the prelims was set by Dallas Center-Grimes at 42.96 seconds. The eighth place team’s time was 44.49 seconds.
Sophomore Janelle Brophy placed 17th in the girls 3A long jump with a leap of 15′ 7″. Sienna Durr of Grinnell is the state champion with a jump of 17′ 10/25″.
