Greene County Farm Bureau will award scholarships to Kasey Lane, a 2016 Paton-Churdan graduate, and Chase Juergensen, a 2017 P-C graduate. Both students’ scholarship applications have been forwarded to the Iowa Farm Buruea for consideration for one of 54 $1,000 scholarships that will be awarded across the state.
Kasey Lane is a 2016 graduate of Paton-Churdan High School and also a graduate of Iowa Central Community College. She is continuing her education at Iowa State University majoring in agricultural studies and minoring in animal science and agricultural business. After finishing college she hopes to work in the ag sector and manage her own cow/calf herd. She is the daughter of Mark and Jennifer Miller of Scranton.
Chase Juergensen will graduate from P-C later this month. He plans to attend the University of Iowa and major in human physiology, with a goal of being accepted into Iowa’s medical school. He hopes to one day practice medicine in a rural area close to home. He is the son of Jill Juergensen and the late Chris Juergensen.
