Connie Scrivner resigns from Scranton council

The Scranton city council is looking for a new member following the resignation of Connie Scrivner. Her resignation was announced at the Aug. 9 Council meeting. Scrivner took office in January after being elected to a four-year term.

The council plans to appoint a new member at its Sept. 13 meeting. Interested residents should file their intent in writing at City Hall.

The appointee will serve until the November 2017 city election when the seat will be on the ballot to fill a vacancy.  ~The Scranton Journal
