Members of First United Methodist Church in Jefferson will host their second annual Sweet Corn Festival this Sunday, Aug. 7, from 5 to 6:30 pm at Russell Park and the adjacent United Methodist Church parking lot.
The meal will feature sweet corn picked Sunday morning, along with pulled pork sandwiches, coleslaw, and homemade fruit cobblers served with ice cream. Take-outs will be available.
The Webb House will also be open for families to enjoy.
Proceeds will go to P.A.W.S., Heart of Iowa Habitat for Humanity, and the Webb House.
Tickets are available now from United Methodist Church members and at the church, or at the festival Sunday. Cost is $8 for adults and $4 for youngsters 12 and younger. Children younger than 5 eat free.
