The Scranton Betterment committee is hosting a free pumpkin decorating and carving contest Sunday, Oct. 25, at 4 pm at the city park’s west end shelter.
Pumpkins will be provided. Contestants should bring creativity and their own tools. Youngsters younger than 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
Participants are asked to sign up by Oct. 23 at the Scranton public library to reserve a pumpkin.
